Description
Faience plate from the manufactories of eastern France, hand-painted with Seder scenes, the order of the foods and Hebrew inscriptions. The polychrome decoration sometimes depicts the seated family or the Exodus. Made for the Jewish customers of Alsace-Lorraine, it joins regional faience to the Passover table.
