Description
Oval or round box of openwork silver filigree, lined inside with a cushion to protect the Sukkot citron. The twisted-wire and granule work is typical of the Sephardi silversmiths of Istanbul and Salonika. The hinged lid opens to display the fruit during the ceremonies of the four species.
