Description
Fabric cover wrapping the Torah scroll in communities not using the rigid case. Tunisian mantles are cut from rich brocades or velvets, edged with gold braid and fringe, sometimes enhanced with an embroidered crown and dedication. Slit at the back, they close around the scroll and let the staves protrude.
