Description
Oil lamp of earthenware glazed in turquoise blue and green, with a modeled backplate and eight aligned wells, made in Persian pottery centers. The floral and geometric decoration recalls local tilework and faience. Inexpensive and easily reproduced, it served Jewish households in Tehran, Isfahan and Kashan.
