Description
Wooden stamp engraved with inscriptions such as 'in honour of the holy Sabbath' or with motifs, pressed onto the challah dough before baking. A domestic tool for preparing the Sabbath and festivals in Ashkenazi homes. A variant of matzah and wedding-bread seals, belonging to the ritual kitchen.
