Silver amuletic plaque for the new mother from Morocco

Large silver plaque engraved with verses, angels' names and magic squares, hung on the wall of the new mother's room to protect her and the newborn until the circumcision or the birth of a girl. Moroccan Jewish silversmiths covered it with a dense protective décor.
