Description
Small colored paper flag fixed to a wooden staff, waved by children during the hakafot of Simchat Torah. The chromolithograph print shows lions, Torah scrolls, King David or festival verses. Often topped with an apple and a candle, it spread the Jewish folk imagery of Eastern European print shops.
