Description
Small parchment or paper scroll mounted on two rollers, unwound to display the day of the Omer in a window. The painted borders spread flowers, birds and Italianate architecture, and the text combines the count with prayers. A refined piece of the Italian communities, joining micro-calligraphy and illumination.
