Intersection register · custodian, not owner
Bonyhád, a town in Tolna County in Transdanubia, was home to one of the oldest Jewish communities in southern Hungary, founded in the 18th century by families of Alsatian and Rhenish origin. The community practiced the Ashkenazic rite and maintained an organized religious life. Its synagogue, partially preserved, is listed as a heritage site. The community was deported to Auschwitz in 1944.

The days of this book
This book bears no memory day yet. The sources that document Bonyhád give years and centuries, never a day; we do not invent one.
