Benedict de York est un membre éminent de la communauté juive de York, en Angleterre, mort en 1189. Présent avec Josce de York au couronnement de Richard Ier, il est contraint par l'émeute qui éclate à cette occasion de se faire baptiser sous le nom de « William », avant d'obtenir du roi l'autorisation de revenir à sa religion; sa veuve et ses enfants périrent brûlés vifs dans sa maison de York lors de l'émeute de Pâques 1190.
