Zakhor — Histoire juive et mémoire juive

關於猶太人民與其自身過去的獨特關係的開創性論文。哥倫比亞大學教授 Yerushalmi 在書中論證，數千年來，猶太記憶是通過禮儀、儀式和哈拉卡傳承的，而非現代意義上的歷史編纂學。直到十九世紀，隨著《猶太學科學》(Wissenschaft des Judentums) 的出現，猶太人才開始按照西方方法書寫歷史。Zakhor 提出了一個令人眩暈的問題：一個民族的集體記憶能否在轉變為學術「歷史」後存活？該著作已被譯成十多種語言，成為當代猶太思想和歷史哲學的公認參考文献。
