Bouanane is a ksar in eastern Morocco, in Figuig province, at the confines of the Algerian Sahara. A small Jewish community lived there until the mid-20th century, mainly engaged in small trade and mediation with trans-Saharan caravans. It emigrated to Oujda, Casablanca, or Israel in the 1950s–1960s.
