Nés à Bagdad dans une famille juive irakienne de marchands de textile, ils émigrèrent au Royaume-Uni en 1947 pour fuir les persécutions et s'installèrent au nord de Londres. En 1970 ils fondèrent l'agence Saatchi & Saatchi. Charles est aussi un grand collectionneur d'art (Saatchi Gallery) ; Maurice, fait baron Saatchi, siégea à la Chambre des lords.
