Diplomate et homme politique italien juif (né Giacobbe Isacco Malvano à Turin), Secrétaire général du ministère des Affaires étrangères italien (notamment 1896-1907, la plus longue tenure de l'histoire italienne), sénateur du royaume à partir de 1896, puis président du Conseil d'État en 1913. Issu d'une famille de confession juive.
