Abraham Shlonsky (1900-1973), two handwritten letters, addressed to the writer and linguist Isaac Avineiri. Tel Aviv, 1954. Written by hand on letterhead of "Sifriyat Po'alim". Shlonsky provides lengthy comments in response to the matter which Avineiri is dealing with in his column in the newspaper "Al Ha-Mishmar", and the missing letter 'b' (at that hour / at that hour): "We all labor, each man according to his strength, to create (not something from nothing, heaven forbid!) a Hebrew language that has faces, that people – and different people – speak. This diversity is a great principle in a living language..."; in his second letter, Shlonsky discusses combinations of "ey" (where, when, which), "someone" and "whoever", and other linguistic questions. אברהם שלונסקי (1900-1973), שני מכתבים בכתב-יד, ממוענים לסופר והבלשן יצחק אבינרי. תל-אביב, 1954. כתובים בכתב-יד על נייר-מכתבים של "ספרית פועלים". שלונסקי מביא דברים ארוכים בתגובה לעניין שעוסק בו אבינרי בפינתו בעתון "על המשמר", והוא החסרת האות ב' (אותה שעה / באותה שעה): "כולנו עמלים איש איש לפי כוחו, לברוא (לא יש מאין, חלילה!) לשון עברית שיש לה פרצופים, שאנשים – ואנשים שונים – מדברים בה. השוני הזה הוא עיקר גדול בלשון חיה... "; במכתבו השני, עוסק שלונסקי בצירופי "אֵי" (איה, אימתי, איזה), "מישהו" ו"מאן דהוא", ובשאלות לשוניות נוספות. [3]; [3] דף, 21.5 ס"מ. מצב טוב מאד.
