The ghetto of Horokhiv is liquidated; the Jews of the town and neighboring hamlets are shot at the edge of a wood.

A town in southern Volhynia surrounded by villages, Horokhiv sees its Jews confined to an enclosed quarter, stripped of their possessions, then led to a nearby forest during the liquidation of the ghetto. A few inhabitants manage to cross the fences during the operation and hide with peasants from the surrounding area until the front arrives.
