The small community of Doboj, at the railway junction in northern Bosnia, is rounded up by Ustachi authorities and taken to the camps.
Doboj, a railway junction in northern Bosnia, had a small Jewish community that grew out of the development of railroads and trade during the Austro-Hungarian era. The racial decrees of the Ustasha regime struck it from the moment the new state was proclaimed: confiscation of businesses, exclusion from professions, the wearing of a distinctive badge, and restrictions on freedom of movement. Roundups were carried out by the local militia during the summer and autumn, and the Jewish families of Doboj were transported along the very railway line that had sustained the town, toward the camps opened in Slavonia. The community was annihilated.
