Jewish houses ransacked, several inhabitants massacred
Kobeliaky, a town in the Poltava governorate on the Vorskla, was home to a Jewish community of merchants. During the civil war, Jewish homes were ransacked and several inhabitants massacred by the detachments passing through the region. The survivors were left without resources as winter approached, and were forced to seek aid in neighboring towns.
