The Jews were expelled from Lower Bavaria, following the passage of the Franciscan preacher Jean de Capistran.

Capistran traveled through the Empire, Bohemia, Moravia, Silesia, and Poland, preaching against the Jews before enormous crowds, obtaining from princes and councils that they drive them out or confine them; almost all the expulsions from Central Europe in those years followed his passage by a few months.
