Description

Bronze pruta struck by King Agrippa I, showing a royal canopy on the obverse and three ears of wheat on the reverse. It scrupulously avoids any human image.

Significance

It illustrates the respect for Jewish prohibitions on images by a popular sovereign of the House of Herod.
