Starokostiantyniv (formerly Starokonstantinov), a town in western Podolia (Khmelnytsky Oblast, Ukraine), was founded in the 16th century and quickly became an important center of Jewish life in Volhynia-Podolia. It played a role in the spread of Hasidism and counted several notable rabbis. During the Shoah, the Einsatzgruppen and their auxiliaries exterminated nearly the entire Jewish community in 1941–1942.
