Talmudiste français, actif dans la seconde moitié du XIe siècle. Établi à Orléans, il fut l'élève d'Éliézer le Grand de Mayence et le maître d'Éliézer ben Juda de Châlons ainsi que de Rachi, qui le cite à cinq reprises. Il est également cité deux fois dans les Tossafot sous le nom d'« Isaac d'Orléans » ; Gross l'identifie, contrairement à Zunz, à l'Isaac d'Orléans mentionné dans l'« Aroukh » de Nathan ben Yehiel de Rome.
