Officier et député français, né à Nancy en 1792 et mort en 1876. Entré très jeune dans l'armée et fait officier par Napoléon Ier, il devint capitaine d'état-major en 1827, commandant d'escadron en 1834, puis chef de bureau au ministère de la Guerre sous le général Schneider à partir de 1839 ; promu lieutenant-colonel, il siégea comme député de Wissembourg à partir de 1842, fut réélu comme colonel en 1846, et se retira après la révolution de 1848, ayant par ailleurs dirigé le Théâtre du Gymnase à Paris.
