Grand rabbin espagnol des communautés placées sous la juridiction du siège archiépiscopal de Tolède. Don Pedro Tonorio, l'archevêque, le destitua de ses fonctions pour négligence du devoir en l'année 1388, et nomma à sa place Ḥayen (Ḥayyim), le médecin privé de l'archevêque, décrit dans le document comme « un homme bon, prudent et très savant, issu d'une bonne famille ». L'acte de nomination est donné dans J. Amados de los Rios, « Historia de los Judíos, » ii. 577 _et seq._
