Second baron d'Aguilar, né à Vienne en 1739 et mort à Londres en 1802, naturalisé anglais en 1757 après s'être établi avec son père, il épousa en 1758 la fille de Moses Mendes da Costa, dont la dot s'élevait à cent cinquante mille livres, et hérita du titre et de la fortune paternels en 1759. Devenu excentrique et avare après avoir perdu un domaine de quinze mille acres en Amérique pendant la guerre d'Indépendance, il abandonna ses résidences pour la « Ferme de la Famine » d'Islington, où il mourut en laissant, dissimulée dans sa demeure, une fortune de deux cent mille livres à ses deux filles.
