Ville médiévale d'Angleterre, Northampton a abrité une communauté juive documentée aux XIIe–XIIIe siècles, avec une Archa (coffre aux titres de crédit) attestée par les registres royaux anglais. Les Juifs de Northampton furent touchés par les mesures restrictives des rois Plantagenêts et finalement expulsés en 1290.
