Córdoba, deuxième ville d'Argentine, vit s'organiser une communauté juive à partir des années 1890, avec la création d'une synagogue ashkénaze et d'associations culturelles. La Jewish Colonization Association (JCA) implanta également des colonies agricoles dans la province environnante.
