Surnommé « l'Ange de Salonique ». Docteur en médecine de l'université de Pise, il reprit en 1834 l'affaire familiale et devint l'un des plus grands entrepreneurs de la ville : minoterie Allatini (1858), briqueterie, tabac, banque. Il finança l'éducation juive locale, dont l'école de l'Alliance israélite universelle.
