Principale compagnie lyrique d'Israël, fondée en 1985 (d'abord « New Israeli Opera ») par le Conseil des arts et de la culture, à partir d'un partenariat entre le théâtre Cameri et l'Orchestre de chambre d'Israël. Depuis 1994, elle se produit au Tel Aviv Performing Arts Center et constitue la scène nationale de l'art lyrique.
