Fondé en 2015 à l'Université de Hambourg avec le soutien de la Fondation allemande pour la recherche (DFG), ce centre se consacre à l'étude du scepticisme et de l'épistémologie dans la philosophie judéo-médiévale et moderne. Il s'appuie sur l'héritage intellectuel de Maïmonide pour explorer les dialogues entre pensée juive, islamique et chrétienne. Des colloques internationaux et des publications de haut niveau alimentent sa production scientifique.
