Pharaon conquérant de la XVIIIe dynastie, souvent appelé le « Napoléon de l'Égypte antique ». Ses campagnes en Canaan établirent la domination égyptienne sur la future Terre d'Israël. Certains le considèrent comme le pharaon de l'oppression.
