Reine de Perse et héroïne du Livre d'Esther (Megillah). Avec son oncle Mardochée, elle sauva le peuple juif du complot génocidaire d'Haman. La fête de Pourim commémore cet événement. Le Rouleau d'Esther est le seul livre biblique où Dieu n'est pas nommé.
