Manuscript, "Book of Remembrances," miscellaneous compilations. Rabbi Yitzhak ben Aaron [Vallis?] of Skvira. [5686, 1926]. An illustrated title page with the symbol of the Star of David, many verses with the name "Aaron" [alluding to the author's name]. In the center of the "Star of David": "will be explained matters that have been revealed and those not yet revealed, according to the Pardès, by the author, son of his father, seventh generation of descendants of the Baal Shem Tov, may his memory be blessed, namely the honorable Aaron son of Yitzhak, may his memory be blessed, of Skvira, of the family of the Baal Shem Tov and other righteous ones of the world." Contains interesting compilations, gematrias and allusions, Hasidic stories and ideas, arranged alphabetically. On the title page, below the year notation: "and the death in the year of Shabbat [5702] 2 Shvat," apparently referring to the author's passing. It appears that at least part of the manuscript was written by the author's son. Detached pages; it appears the manuscript is incomplete. * Attached is a page with Torah teachings from the same hand, and another page with various sayings (blessings and wishes), with each saying valued in gematria equal to the year "5686." * Attached is a photograph, apparently from the author's family. [35] pages. Variable size. Fair condition, detached pages, stains, tears and water stains.
