We have just seen, thanks greatly to Zakhor,
that the French administration had decided to register the name Rubin on my father's file, whereas his name was Nathan Weinberg and had therefore been erased.
His wife's name was Ruby.
His sister, Ruth Weinberg, living in London after the war, kept her original surname (unmarried)
My father Nathan Rubin was born on August 13, 1913, in Butzbach, Germany.
Around 1933 or 1938, he hastily left Germany for France, where he would be enlisted as a military "volunteer" and later taken prisoner and transported to an internment camp.
This brief account, « what little I know »
in an attempt to return to the Weiberg lineage, the only thread is his sister, my aunt Ruth Weinberg.
