Description

Maḥzor according to the rite of Algiers for the Yamim Noraim and the festivals, copied at the end of the 16th century. Colophon: “Written by Nathan ben R. [name partially effaced] in the study house of R. Yoseph ben R. Shelomo Duran, completed on 17 Elul 5341 = 1581.” Yoseph ben Shelomo Duran is attested as head of a yeshiva in Algiers in 1581 — a direct descendant of the Rashbatz.
