Fine scribe's handwriting (in 'Rashi script', titles in square and voweled script). Beyond the title page with a voweled poem ("For whom alas? For whom woe?..."). Large composition by Moses Orenshtein (1839-1906), former Sdigura hasid who became a renowned maskil. Resided in Czortkov and was one of the opponents of Sdigura, and among other things actively participated in the affair of Rabbi Dov Baer of Lyubavitch. Several of his compositions were printed; the present manuscript apparently was not. [193] pp. 26 cm. Good condition, stains. Title page detached. Coarse tears in it and in several pages. Binding.
