Stamp of Rabbi "Moshe Lib Ehrenereich in the name of the venerable and holy Tzaddik, may he rest in peace - Chief Rabbi of the holy community here, may he live long"; signature of "The venerable Menachem Mendel Horowitz Chief Rabbi of Melitz and the Galilee". * Gaon Rabbi Naftali Schwartz, author of "Beit Naftali" (1846-1897), son of the "Kol Aryeh", served as rabbi from 1884 in his ancestral city. * His son-in-law and cousin was Gaon Rabbi Chaim Tzvi Ehrenereich, who served many years as Chief Rabbi in the city and from 1892 served as Chief Rabbi, after his death in 1897 his son Gaon Rabbi Moshe Lib Ehrenereich rose to take his place. * The Admor Rabbi Menachem Mendel Horowitz (1883-1943), successor to his father in the rabbinate and Admorate in the city of Melitz, was known for his righteousness and scholarship.
