Manuscript page of a prayer for the success of the "crowned ones of the Covenant" in war against "strangers who flooded our border, many lands were given to plunder". [Europe, late 18th century]. At the head of the page, the heading: "Every day before Ashrei and Leba Tzion, the reader and the congregation recite these five Psalms: 13, 20, 27, 46, 144 and then they recite a prayer". It appears to refer to the period of the "Napoleonic Wars" and the prayer was composed for the success of the coalition of states ["crowned ones of the Covenant"] that fought against Napoleon's army. Page 34.5 cm. Quality paper, good to fair condition. Stains, damage [restored] to the fold of the paper and margins.

[אירופה, סוף המאה ה-18]. בראש הדף כותרת: "מדי יום ביומו קודם אשרי ובא לציון, אומרים הש"ץ והקהל חמשה מזמורי תהלים אלו: י"ג, ך', כ"ז, מ"ו, קמ"ד ואח"כ אומרים תפילה". כפי הנראה מדובר בתקופת "המלחמות הנפוליאוניות" והתפילה חוברה להצלחת קואליציית המדינות ["מלכי הברית"] שנלחמה בצבאו של נפוליאון. דף 34.5 ס"מ. נייר איכותי, מצב טוב-בינוני. כתמים, פגיעות [משוקמות] בקפל הנייר ובשוליים.
