* Book of Latest Rulings and Treatise of Proofs, by the holy Gaon Rabbi Aryeh Lieb Epstein [Author of Pardes]. Königsberg, [5519 = 1759]. "Latest Rulings" is the final halakhic ruling and around it "Commentary of the Later Authorities" – insights of the Later Authorities, and "Treatise of Proofs" – the author's innovations. Approbations: Rabbi Jonathan Eybeschütz and other Rabbis. Printed and bound originally with: * Book of Pardes, by Rabbi Aryeh Lieb Epstein. Königsberg, [5519] 1759. The printing of the two books was not orderly [as the author writes on page 42/2: "and because of the costs of printing the author was forced to stop in the middle of the book of Latest Rulings and print several treatises from his other books and this came out first the book of Pardes..."[, for this reason there are significant differences between the editions, in terms of the pages that exist in each edition [on the bibliography project CD at least four different editions of the book of Pardes were recorded in terms of pagination and number of pages, see entries 111284-111286]. Page count in the edition before us: Book of Latest Rulings: [1], 2 [should be: 4]; 29-35, 37-42 pages (page 36 apparently missing. Total: 18 pages). Book of Pardes: 9; 23; 127-136 pages. (Total 70 pages). 20 cm. Fair condition. Stains, worm marks, handwritten notes. New binding. Rare.
