Twenty-four amulets written by hand and one printed. [Yemen, first half of the 20th century]. Various amulets for protection, safeguarding, matchmaking and other matters (most of them rolled). The collection includes a dozen amulets written by hand, without the name filled in, whose formulas read "Grant love in the heart – daughter --, for the love of – son --, love with all her heart and all her soul and all her might...". In another amulet it is written "I ask that my wife --- and my sons and daughters listen to me in all that I say to them". In many amulets the name of Rabbi Shalom Shabazi is mentioned. Two amulets are tied together with thread. An additional amulet is attached, on fragile brown paper (with many tears). Size and condition vary.
