Handwritten letter, signed and sealed by Rabbi Jacob Chai Zerahyah, to Rabbi Solomon Buber. Tiberias, [between 1902 and 1906]. The letter's content concerns the exchange of his book "Ḥeleq Ya'akov" for the midrash books published by R.S. Buber, wishes and blessings. The Gaon Rabbi Jacob Chai Zerahyah (1869–1953, Otzar ha-Rabbanim 10063), one of the sages of his generation. Son-in-law of Rabbi Benjamin, author of "Amtaḥat Benjamin." After the passing of Rabbi Elijah Iluz, he was appointed as Chief Rabbi of Tiberias. The recipient of the letter, Rabbi Solomon Buber (1827–1906), a scholar and renowned researcher. He edited and published many books, particularly known for his contribution to the study of midrash literature. Postcard. 9×13 cm. Good condition.
