Collection of pages from the newspaper "Ḥabazelet." Jerusalem, [between the years 5644–5663, 1884–1903]. Includes: issue no. 1 of year 14 (5644); issue no. 33 of year 21 (5651); and issues 2–31 of year 37 (5663). Total of 32 issues. The newspaper "Ḥabazelet," among the earliest Hebrew newspapers in the Land of Israel, emerged from ultra-Orthodox circles in Jerusalem. Its founder, Rabbi Israel Bak, began publishing it in the year 5623. In the year 5628, the newspaper passed to his son-in-law, Rabbi Israel Dov Frumkin, who published it until the year 5671. This newspaper took a position in various controversies that occurred in Jerusalem, generally on the side of the Hasidic "kollels." 32 cm. Good to fair condition. Stains, creasing marks. Wear, especially at the margins.

אוסף גליונות מעיתון ה"חבצלת". ירושלים, [בין השנים תרמ"ד-תרס"ג 1884-1903]. כולל: גיליון מס' 1 של שנה יד (תרמ"ד); גיליון מס' 33 של שנה כא (תרנ"א); וגיליונות 31-2 של שנה לז (תרס"ג). סה"כ 32 גליונות. העיתון "חבצלת", מראשוני העיתונים בעברית בארץ ישראל, יצא מחוגי החרדים בירושלים. מייסדו רבי ישראל ב"ק החל להוציאו בשנת תרכ"ג. בשנת תרכ"ח עבר העיתון לידי חתנו רבי ישראל דוב פרומקין, שהוציאו לאור עד שנת תרע"א. עיתון זה נקט עמדה במחלוקות שונות שהיו בירושלים, בדרך כלל לצידם של ה"כוללים" החסידיים. 32 ס"מ. מצב טוב-בינוני. כתמים, סימני קיפול. בלאי, בעיקר בשוליים.
