Letter of appointment from the community of Safed, to emissary Rabbi Yaakov Hiyon. Safed, [5637, 1876].
Signed by the sages of Safed: Rabbi Shemu'el Avo[?], Rabbi Yaakov ha-Cohen, Rabbi David Adeni, Rabbi Mordecai Maman, Rabbi Aharon Karsiniti, Rabbi Moshe ha-Cohen, and "the Wise One" Rabbi Yosef Yehuda Hakim - chief rabbi of Safed.
