Letter sent from the sages and rabbis of the Ashkenazim in the Land of Israel, to the children of Moses our teacher of blessed memory and the Ten Tribes, compiled and arranged by the distinguished and esteemed Rabbi, the scholar hidden and revealed, our master Rabbi Israel, may he be remembered, author of the book Taklin Ḥadatin, appointed and supervisor and leader of the congregation of Ashkenazim called Midrash Perushin, may it be built, in the holy city of Safed. [Amsterdam, after Marcheshvan 5591 [1830]]. Brought to print by the officials and functionaries of the holy cities in Amsterdam. The letter to the Ten Tribes was sent through the messenger Rabbi Baruch son of Rabbi Samuel who was killed in Yemen. Signature of the famous Gaon Rabbi "Isaac Dov ha-Levi Bamberger", Chief Rabbi and spiritual leader of Würzburg, Germany. Author of "Yad ha-Levi", "Melaḥ Shamayim", "Neti'ah shel Simḥah", and more. (5628-5599 [1868-1839]. Otzar ha-Rabbanim 11282). One of the great men of his generation, in the time of Rabbi Samson Raphael Hirsch and "the author of Ḥatam Sofer". 4 pages.
