Letter to the leadership of "Kehal Adat Israel" in Pitesti, by Kalman Lavenkapff from Orsova, Heshvan 1939. "Today the woman Hildea Boladea sent a bundle to pioneer Yosef Yitzhak who was seized there in your city in the House of Prisoners and I ask you to deliver it to him and if he is not already there, to send it after him, or if you do not know where he is – to send it back here, for the woman who sent the bundle is a poor woman." Below the Hebrew text the content is also written in Romanian. On the back of the letter are postal stamps and the stamp of the Jewish community in Orsova. 15 × 10.5 cm. Good condition. Punch holes. Some stains.

אגרת להנהלת "קהל עדת ישראל" בפיטעשטי (Piteşti), מאת קלמן לאווענקאפף מאורשובה (Orşova), חשון ת"ש [נובמבר 1939]. "היום שלחה האישה הִילדָה בוֹלָדֶעאָה צרור לחלוץ יוֹן איזַק אשר נתפס שם בעירכם בבית האסורים ואבקש למסר לו ואם אין כבר שם, לשלח אחריו, או אם אינכם יודעים איה הוא – לשלח הנה בחזרה, כי האשה ששלחה את הצרור, היא אשה עניה". תחת הנוסח העברי נכתב התוכן גם ברומנית. בצדה האחורי של האגרת חותמות דואר וחותמת הקהלה היהודית באורשובה. 15X10.5 ס"מ. מצב טוב. נקבי-תיוק. מעט כתמים.
