"Mantle" for a Torah scroll. Light fabric with fine embroidery in gold and silver threads. Bisheim (suburb of Strasbourg), 5698 [1938].
At the top are prominent embroidered decorations of a Torah crown and birds. In the center, a dedication inscription in French: "En mémoire de Nathan et Henriette Salomon offert par leur files Jacques דק"ק בישהיים תרצ"ח לפ"ק" [In memory of Nathan and Henriette Salomon, gift of their son Jacques].
48 × 37 cm. Good condition. The lace at the lower part is partially detached, tears in the fabric in several places.
