AUFGANG, social-literary and informative monthly of the Jewish colony in Cuba. Havana, April 1934. Issue No. 5. Social-literary and informative monthly for the Jewish 'colony' in Cuba. Approximately 6,000 Jews arrived in Cuba between 1933-1943 from Russia, Poland and Germany. Most were en route to the USA, but as the immigration quota was closed, they stopped in Cuba as a transit station. Eventually an active Jewish community was established there, which included schools, synagogues, etc. Yiddish. With many photographs and advertisements.

אויפגאנג, געזעלשאפטליך-ליטערארישע און אינפארמאטיווע מאנאטשריפט פון דער אידישער קאלאניע אין קובא. הוואנה, אפריל 1934. גליון מס' 5. ירחון חברתי-ספרותי ואינפורמטיבי ל'קולוניה' היהודית בקובה. כ-6,000 יהודים הגיעו לקובה בין השנים 1933-1943 מרוסיה, פולין וגרמניה. רובם היו בדרכם לארה"ב, אך כיוון שמכסת ההגירה נסגרה, חנו בקובה כתחנת ביניים. בסופו של דבר נוצרה שם קהילה יהודית פעילה, שכללה בתי-ספר, בתי-כנסת וכו'. יידיש. עם תצלומים רבים ופרסומות.
