Emunot ve-Deot, written in Judeo-Arabic in 933, is the first systematic work of Jewish philosophy. Saadia Gaon demonstrates the compatibility of reason and revelation across ten treatises, inaugurating the medieval Jewish philosophical tradition that would culminate with Maimonides.
