Description

Anonymous dictionary of Hebrew rhymes — the Ba'al Kenafayim — accompanied by the Mikhlol of David Kimḥi (Radak, 1160-1235), great treatise of Andalusian Hebrew grammar. Manuscript of 302 leaves, large in-4, 22 lines per page in two columns; unpublished as such. The marginal notes are attributed to Élie Halewy (1477-1549), grammarian born in Padua. The copyist cites only the ancients (up to Maimonides), which suggests a composition at the turn of the 15th-16th centuries.
