Seder Tefillah for the entire year, with the intentions of the Ari. Three parts: for weekdays, for Shabbat, and for holidays. "Siddur Rabbi Asher" — compiled by Rabbi Asher Margaliot of Brod and Mezhybizh, disciple of the Baal Shem Tov. Lvov, 5548 (1787). Press of Rabbi Shlomo Yarosh Rapoport. A siddur according to the Ashkenazic rite in the Sephardic nusach, with the intentions of the Ari, by the kabbalist Rabbi Asher, son of the late rabbinical and pious Moharar Shlomo Zalman Margaliot זצ"ל of Mezhybizh, among the members of the holy brotherhood of the light of the seven days, our master Rabbi Israel the Baal Shem Tov, and among the great sages of the renowned Kloyz of Brod. The siddur was printed in Lvov in 5548, at the press of Rabbi Shlomo Yarosh [who printed in that same year the book "Noam Elimelech" in its first edition. As is well known, the workers at that printing house at the time were among the supreme holy ones, among the thirty-six hidden righteous men of that generation]. At the beginning of the siddur are printed the approbations of the rabbinic sages of Brod, the approbation of the holy Rabbi Yissachar Dov of Zlotchov, and the holy Rabbi Moshe of Pshevorsk, and others. The history of its printing begins some seven years earlier, with the printing of a siddur with the intentions of the Ari z"l in Zolkva in 5541, encouraged by the kabbalists of the Kloyz of Brod, known as the "Siddur of the Sages of the Kloyz." This siddur was the first with kabbalistic intentions to be printed in that region, following the spread of kabbalistic teaching in the area by the sages of Brod and the disciples of the Baal Shem Tov. From the day that siddur appeared, Rabbi Asher sat and investigated, drawing from the original sources of the siddur: the writings of the Ari, Sefer HaYichudim, Sefer Pri Etz Chaim, the manuscript siddur of the pious kabbalist Moharar Shabbetai of Rashkov, and others. He labored to purge it of errors and restore it to its proper form. In his introduction, Rabbi Asher writes of the Siddur of the Sages of the Kloyz that "it is impossible for something to be perfect the first time." He explains that he permits himself to make corrections, since he poured water over the hands of the divine kabbalist Rabbi Chaim of Tzantz of Brod, and in particular in the study of "this true and awesome wisdom," and that his aforementioned master also proofread this siddur — "therefore it is within my power to proofread and correct it." This siddur is universally known by his name as "Siddur Rabbi Asher," and it constitutes a reliable source for the kabbalistic teachings of the disciples of the Baal Shem Tov and the kabbalists of that generation. 2 volumes, [398] pp. 17 cm.
